A transformational empowerment experience for girls aged 13–18

The Gold Within is a powerful, identity-focused event created to help young women discover the treasure God has placed inside them. In a world filled with pressure, comparison, and noise, this event provides a safe, uplifting space where girls can explore who they truly are, build confidence, and step boldly into their purpose. This year’s event features a special leadership highlight: “How to Become a Young Mayor in Your City,” led by the Mayor of Barking & Dagenham, who will share her inspiring journey into leadership and empower young women to take up space in their schools, communities, and beyond.

The event is hosted by She’s Gold UK, a youth organisation dedicated to empowering and equipping girls and young women. Our team is trained, DBS-checked, and experienced in supporting young women in personal, emotional, and spiritual development.

We are honoured to host the Mayor of Barking & Dagenham, who will share her leadership journey and teach young women about stepping into influence — including pathways such as becoming a Young Mayor.

Yes — the event includes Christian faith elements and biblical encouragement around identity and purpose. All girls are welcome to attend, regardless of background or belief.

This event is specifically designed for girls only, to create a safe and open environment for conversation and connection. Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their daughters.


9. Will photos or videos be taken?

Yes, we may capture photos and videos for event memories and to share the impact of our work. Consent will be requested during registration, and any child without permission will not be photographed.


10. Is the venue safe and supervised?

Absolutely. Our venue is fully supervised by trained staff and team members. All leaders are DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained, and committed to providing a safe, friendly, and supportive environment.


11. Do girls need to stay for the full duration?

We highly recommend attending the full event so they can participate in all activities and get the most out of the experience. However, early collection is allowed if needed.
